Computed Radiography

Phoenix Technology Corporation (PTC) offers QC service and guidance to our clients who use Computed Radiography (CR) systems. The annual physics inspection has been designed to monitor essential components and characteristics of the CR system so as to optimize image quality. Inspections are performed to characterize the performance of the imaging plates as well as each of the reading stations, and the performance in each of the evaluated parameters is compared to the prior inspections for performance tracking. As with any other imaging modality utilizing digital images, image quality is best maintained when the Technologist is able to conduct periodic inspections of the entire imaging system. PTC’s QC service for CR provides guidance and instruction to Technologists for performing recommended daily, weekly and monthly inspections of the CR imaging system. The Technologist is instructed in soft copy and hard copy QC protocols, as well as periodic inspection of system performance.
